I have been waiting for this for a long time! Anna and Max are finally in print, but it wasn’t an easy road to get there. I had to make the book much longer, deepen the character development and add about 30K to the overall story. I will tell you more after the jump.

One of the first things I had to make sure of was that I stayed true to the first version. Anna and Max were very special to a lot of my readers and I wanted to make sure they weren’t disappointed. Anna is bold, smart and downright sassy. There is no way about it and one of the things I like most about her is she had no problem with her sexuality. She doesn’t use it as a tool, but sees it as a part of her. A natural component of her body, just like her eye color and her height. But, I knew there was something more than just getting dumped in high school for her to date younger men and keep the relationship at 3 weeks or less. When she finally revealed it to me, I was atonished she didn’t crumble, but seriously, that is Anna. She is a strong woman, and to protect herself, she took the tact of always keeping it light. That is, until Max came into the picture.

Now, Max has control issues. Mainly out of the bedroom, some in, but he has a something in his past also. He is one of those list makers, the ones who always know where and when things should happen. He’s the one who would have name tags for a party at his house. Okay, not that bad but you get the idea. Since I am sort of that way, I understand him well. And the one thing he hates is when people don’t do what they are supposed to do, according to his plan.

One thing I discovered going back and spending time with Max and Anna is that many times we conform our lives to deal with our pasts. Granted, I knew that, but watching these two struggle with their demons reminded me that love and acceptance can truly help you lay those things where they belong, in the past.
It is now on preorder at Amazon and B & N.
It will be on sale at My Bookstore and More on August 21!
