The Big Day

By Cynthia.DAlba on February 28, 2012

Today marks the realization of a dream and the capstone of hard work.  TEXAS TWO STEP, my debut novel, releases today.

As most authors can attest, releasing a book, especially your first book, is like releasing your child into the world. What if nobody likes him/her? What if the other kids are mean? What if someone thinks your child is ugly or boring?

As I awaited early reviews, I tried to prepare myself for "Don't quit the day job." But to my delight, the early reviews and author quotes have been more than I could dreamed.

"Sultry, smart, and deeply emotional, a story by Cynthia D'Alba is not to be missed." – Sylvia Day, national bestselling author

"Luscious, romantic and sensual, D'Alba's debut gives readers everything they could want in a passionate contemporary romance." – Delilah Devlin, national bestselling author

"If you like your cowboys hot and your stories with a generous dose of heart, read Cyndi D'Alba. I'm a fan!" - NYT bestselling author Vicki Lewis Thompson

Romantic Times gave Texas Two Step 4 Stars and said, "The first book in the Texas Montgomery Mavericks is a great way for readers to meet D'Alba…will have readers waiting for the next book in the series."

Vanessa at Joyfully Reviewed and Didi at Guility Pleasures Book Reviews both gave Texas Two Step 5 Stars AND a recommended read.

I am thrilled with the early reviews and comments.

Texas Two Step opens six years after the tramatic break-up of the main characters. To introduce readers to Mitch Landry and Olivia Montgomery, the stars of Texas Two Step, I've been running a two-week episodic prequel. Texas Two Step-The Prequel takes readers back to the beginning, when Mitch and Olivia met and began their love affair and ends with their split. Click HERE if you'd like to read The Prequel.

All day today I'll be celebrating Texas Two Step's release with hourly prizes, including gift certificates to the Samhain Store, jewelry, and other special prizes.. Drop by the blog and play along. You just might win something. And even if you don't win, there's always the freebies I'm giving out to anyone who asks!

Thanks for reading this far. Drop me a note after you've read Texas Two Step and let me know what you thought.
