Do you Pinterest? I’ve been a member for a couple of months now, and let me tell you—it’s addictive. It’s also a great tool for writers. It’s a virtual cork board where you can pin photos and videos, recipes and tutorials. It’s amazing what you’ll find once you start digging around the site.
Here, let me show you a slice of my page.

To get started, you'll need to sign up for a free account here.
If you need help figuring out exactly what to do with your board, here's a video that will help.
Want ideas for settings? There’s a board for that! Clothes? Character inspiration? Even foods or cars can be found on Pinterest that might suit your current work in progress.
I noticed on Author Rescue, there was a neat blog post about sharing your pins with others on your website. So readers can see how you envision your characters or the world you're creating.
And really, there's no reason to stop there. I've been searching Pinterest for new recipe ideas and craft ideas to do with my daughter. It's been handy in helping me organize what I'd like to try while keeping up with what I have tried and know are proven winners.
Another search I've been doing lately is for nail polish. (I'm such an addict.) I love seeing what creative people have done with their nails and also getting a heads up on new products about to be released, or even products I haven't seen or heard of before. My favorite recent discoveries are magnetic nail polish and flakies nail polish.
So really, the sky's the limit. Go on. Give it a try. Put Pinterest to work for you.
