Typically we find ourselves counting down to get to the weekend, because we simply cannot wait for the week to be finished. On one hand that is certainly true for me this week because I've dropped a couple of the day job balls. Then there is the other hand. It's the hand that juggles the balls of being a mom and that hand has been VERY full the last month. It's this craziness that has me counting down not for this weekend to get here, but for it to pass. You see, Monday marks the first day of school and I can hardly wait.
With school starting the two a day rehearsals will come to an end, which means I will no longer have two big gaps in my work day. School also means that the youngest will have a routine to settle into again. For her this is HUGE because when she has a routine she doesn't get as bored. This child when she's bored is dangerous because she's got a vibrant imagination. This imagination quickly lands her in T-R-O-U-B-L-E. Even as I'm intriqued by the things she comes up with, I'm ready for a slight decline in her spare time.
I figure I can't be alone in my eagerness for school to begin, so tell me what are you most looking forward to when the kids go back to school.
