I write a lot of action/adventure/murder kind of stories. In general, I know very little about death personally, but recently an old teacher of mine (who now works for a funeral home) turned me on to this website.

In case you haven’t heard of this gal and you’ve always kind of wondered about the death industry, I can’t recommend her enough. Her name is Caitlin Doughty and her site is Order of the Good Death at www.orderofthegooddeath.com

She has quite a few videos on YouTube which is where I first saw her. Once you can get past the “Really? A mortician is making jokes about this??” I believe you’ll find her interesting, funny and actually kind.

Also a little “off” but I think that may be the thing I like most about her.
