All About Cornelia Grey
Cornelia Grey is a creative writing student fresh out of univeristy, with a penchant for fine arts and the blues. Born and raised in the hills of Northern Italy, where she collected her share of poetry and narrative prizes, she is now based in London, and she is thoroughly enjoying the cultural melting pot that is the City.
Her interests vary from painting to photography, from sewing to acting; when writing, she favors curious, surreal poems and short stories involving handsome young men seducing each other. She loves collecting people's stories and re-discovering lost tales that deserve to be told.
Her days are full and hectic: she reads, goes to flea markets, galleries, and the theater, and of course spends most of her time writing. When she's at home, she likes to curl up with a book and the classic cup of tea and leaves chestnuts in the garden for the squirrel that comes around from time to time.

The Mercenary is my first release with Samhain Publishing – and my first solo release at that! It’s a post-apocalyptic action/adventure, with steampunk elements, and a core of GLBT romance. It’s probably a given, but I greatly enjoyed frolicking in this story’s sandbox. I was able to indulge in my passion for apocalyptic settings, steampunkish details, long-haired men and conflicted relationships – what with jealousy, stubborness, hot-headedness and of course mortal peril! I have a few more story outlines set in the Mercenary’s world – looks like I’m not ready to let go just yet!
To celebrate, I’m holding a little contest at my livejournal, offering the chance to win a free copy. The winner will be announced on monday. All you have to do to be entered in the draft is leave a comment at my blog post telling me what kind of character you’d want to be in a post-apocalyptic world.
Me, I’d be an odd, geeky bookman who’s in charge of some last, great library that somehow escaped the catastrophe. And I’d have an army of little rat-men to help me manage the place. What about you?
Hope you enjoy!
