So, book 2 of the Oathcursed series, Love is My Sin, is now in print and an EPIC finalist!

Break his oath, he loses his soul. Keep it—and he loses his heart.

Oathcursed, Book 2

Devastated crops force regent Lord Hunter to do the one thing he always swore he’d never do: form an alliance with the neighboring tribal kingdom. The oath to offer his beloved foster son in marriage, however, begins digging holes in his heart the moment he meets the intended bride. He can’t afford to fall in love with the alluring Reethan Chieftain, not if he’s to keep his oath—and his soul—intact.

Nerinna has always used her charms to manipulate her tribal chiefs, as tradition demands. But Lord Hunter’s honest, passionate nature intrigues her like no other man’s has before, challenging her cynical notions. Her wiles have no effect on him. In fact, her every action only seems to alienate him more.

Although their desire hangs thick and heavy in the air, Hunter keeps to the letter of his oath—until the god of justice decrees that Hunter must die. Nerinna knows of only one way to save him: offer herself in exchange. It’s a sacrifice Hunter can’t allow her to make, but to defy the priest means he must choose a side.

With his god—or against him.

Warning: Includes a sultry temptress, a noble hero, a fatal attraction, a sarcastic wizard, a forbidden passion, a vengeful god, a sly priest and a religious war. Oh, and people spontaneously combusting.

Dance of Seduction will be released in PRINT from Samhain this month, so I figured I’d hold a little contest on the blog today, and tell you a bit about why I chose the profession I did for my heroine.

The story features Ellie Dawson, a ballerina who leaves town after a car accident that ended her dance career. Only instead of peace of mind and time to heal her wounds, she’s forced to deal with our hero, Luke Russell, who Ellie’s older brother has sent to track her down. Needless to say, the sparks between these two are hot, and Ellie launches a game of seduction in order to get Luke to leave her alone, which, of course, he doesn’t.

So, Ellie’s job. A ballerina. It’s something a lot of little girls dream of being, myself included. When I was young, I wanted to be a dancer, and I even took ballet lessons for several years. Then I quit. I don’t really remember why I stopped the lessons and sometimes I wonder what would have been if I’d continued. I was pretty good (if I say so myself), so could there have been a chance I’d be a prima ballerina by now? Maybe. Maybe not. But it’s something I’ve always wondered about, which is why I chose dancing for my heroine’s career. Living vicariously through her, and all that.

Now the contest. I want to hear about your childhood aspirations. What did you want to be when you grew up? Did that dream come true, or are you now working at the last job you’d ever expected? One commenter will get a free print copy of Dance of Seduction, so come on, spill!

I’m really excited about my first print release with Samhain, which is the Midsummer Night’s Steam anthology that features my first Samhain novella, Bad Moon Rising. I received my author copies in the mail last week and my reaction (a loud shriek of delight) scared the daylights out of my entire family :) But how can I not be excited? Isn’t it every author’s dream to see their name in print and hold a physical copy of their book in their hands?

So along with my excitement over this print release, I’m also pretty excited about the sequel I’m writing for Heat of the Moment, my current release. When I first wrote Heat, a sexy threesome featuring two Navy SEALs, I knew I had to give one of my SEAL’s, Carson, his own story. The idea nagged in the back of my mind, demanding to be written, and yet for some reason I couldn’t think of what to do with the poor guy.

And then I’m lying in bed last week, can’t sleep because I’d just written thirty pages of another story and was too wired, and all of a sudden, the sequel idea flies into my brain. It’s three in the morning, and instead of forcing myself to sleep, I get up, grab a notebook and write an outline for Carson’s story.

For anyone who’s read Heat of the Moment and wants a tiny spoiler, let’s just say that Carson is going to find himself pursuing an older woman who wants nothing to do with a bad boy SEAL….

But this brings me to my question for all the readers out there. How do you feel about sequels? I’m a huge fan of authors with ongoing series (Christine Feehan, Suzanne Brockmann, to name a few) and every time they have a new release, I’m preordering the he$! out of that baby, dying to get my hands on it. Is it just me? Or is everyone else as crazy about series/sequels/trilogies/recurring characters as I am?

Today is the release of my red-hot story Heat of the Moment, which features a very hot menage with two even hotter Navy SEALs. To celebrate, I’m holding a contest over at my blog, the Sizzling Pens. The grand prize is a $20 Amazon gift card, so pop on over to be entered for the draw for 3 fun prizes.

Here’s the blurb for the story. Enjoy!

HEAT OF THE MOMENT
In this heat wave, anything and everything goes.

A Red-Hot Summer story

Shelby Harper has lusted over Navy SEAL John Garrett for over a year, but no matter how many sexy signals she sends out, the man shows a complete lack of interest in getting naked. Then she overhears Garrett talking to his SEAL teammate—a discussion in which they conclude she’s vanilla. Stung, Shelby sets out to show them exactly how un-vanilla she is.

Garrett can’t believe it when sweet, sexy Shelby suggests a wild and sweaty ménage. He’s been trying to figure out how to ask her out without coming off as a guy who only wants to get in her pants—her friendship is too valuable to him to risk it. But if a crazy, heat-wave three-way is what Shelby wants, then he’s ready and willing to give it to her.

Once she gets it out of her system, however…well, then he’ll let her know he wants her all to himself.

Warning: This title contains two dangerously hot Navy SEALS and a heroine determined to get it on with both of them. Be prepared to take a cold shower (or maybe two) after reading this heat-wave ménage.

Hi everyone!

So today is the release of my second Samhain title, Dance of Seduction. When I was first brainstorming ideas for this book, all I knew was that I wanted a story with a bodyguard, a ballerina and a seduction. So I thought, okay, it’s simple: the seduction of a bodyguard by a ballerina! And the Dance of Seduction was born.

This book was a blast to write, and I hope you all enjoy it. To celebrate the release I’m giving away two free downloads of the story. All you have to do is comment here, or hop over to my blog, the Sizzling Pens and post a comment there. All the commenters will go into a random draw—winners will be announced by midnight tonight!

Now for a blurb:

Tracking her was easy. Staying out of her bed—that’s the hard part

On the run from her past and her overprotective brother, Ellie has had a taste of freedom—and likes it. Nothing can make her go home. Not even when the man she’s always longed for shows up to drag her there. His wicked grins and irresistible dimples won’t work.

But she knows something else about Luke: He doesn’t give up easily. Luckily, Ellie’s not above resorting to naughty tactics. Seduction, she’s certain, will make him so uncomfortable he won’t be able to flee fast enough.

And boy, is it going to be fun.

The last thing Luke expects is for his best friend’s sister to launch an erotic assault. He’ll go along with her sexy games, but he’s sure that when things get too hot, she’ll come to her senses and come home. Except resisting her isn’t as easy as he thought it’d be.

And suddenly he’s wondering if maybe there can be more than one winner in this dance of seduction…

Full moons—do they really cause naughty behavior? Since I have zero knowledge about lunar phenomena (and since I was too lazy to dig up studies that might have been conducted on the subject) I decided to just answer YES to that question for the purpose of this story.

It’s called Bad Moon Rising, and it’s part of the Midsummer Night’s Steam series Samhain is releasing throughout the summer. The story was released last Friday, on its own (gulp) with no other Steam authors around to hold my hand for the release. But I think I’ve survived going solo—and the positive feedback I’ve already gotten has made it so much better.

So here’s the official blurb:

Hailey Burke has heard that full moons cause people to behave in strange ways, but she never thought it would apply to her until the night she winds up in bed with a man she doesn’t even like. So she’d had a temporary loss of sanity when she slept with Zack Creighton, the womanizing photographer. Big deal. Doesn’t mean she’s going to do it again, right?

Wrong.

Unfortunately, Zack has something else in store for Hailey. He’s liked the sassy redhead from the moment he met her, but he can’t get the stubborn woman to let go of the misconceptions she’s formed about him. Sure, he’s played the field, but Zack is no womanizer, and he has no intention of leaving things at one night. Once he’s had a taste of Hailey, he wants another. And he’s determined to convince her that he’s not the bad boy she’s always thought.

And once you’ve gone there, go out and buy the story

Happy reading!
