Mary was raised in the wilds of the deep South, hunting snakes with her best friend in the nearby swamp before being hustled into pearls and little white gloves for church. She’s always been very good about behaving when people could see her and raising hell the moment their backs were turned…a trait she is proud to have carried into adulthood.

Her earliest book-related memory is curling around a pillow and listening as her older brother read The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe. One day she reached over and snatched the book out of his hands: she wanted to be the first to find out what was going to happen next. (It is possible she was something of a brat.) She’s been an avid reader ever since, experimenting with genres to discover new favorite authors.

Mary has a passion for globetrotting and has been told on more than one occasion that her living room looks like a Moroccan bazaar. She loves History and unique historicals and is on the endless hunt for a carefully researched historical romance set in India during the Raj…though any other unique setting is sure to get her attention.
