All About Shona Husk

Shona Husk lives in Western Australia at the edge of the Indian Ocean. Blessed with a lively imagination, she spent most of her childhood making up stories. As an adult she discovered romance novels and hasn’t looked back. Drawing on history and myth, she weaves new worlds and writes heroes who aren’t afraid to get hurt while falling in love.

What do you read?

I get asked this question all the time in interviews and the short answer is pretty much everything. However I do have my favourite genres and things I’d rather not read. Basically I’m like any other avid reader. I have likes and dislikes, favourite authors, series I love and things I won’t touch. I used to finish every book I started but these days if I’m not hooked after 3 chapters I put it aside.

Here are some of my favourite things to read:

I love fantasy novels, I grew up reading them. I also went through a phase of reading post-apocalyptic books (there had usually been a nuclear war, no zombies back then). That said if I’m going to invest in a massive fantasy series it had better be good. Fantasy romance usually has shorter arcs, and a HEA. Read more…
