Yolanda Sfetsos has always had a wild imagination, and often found herself making up stories in her head. When she was in her teens, she started putting some of those ideas on paper.

She loves to dabble in a variety of genres, but especially enjoys writing urban fantasy, futuristic, and Sci-Fi tales – all with a dark paranormal edge.

Yolanda lives in a suburb of Sydney, Australia with her small family. When she’s not writing, she’s either thinking about it, researching, reading, walking, or watching her favourite TV shows. Or maybe she’s on Twitter.

Season Change

Here in Sydney, Australia it’s autumn. Sure, the new season ticked over last month but because the days were still warm and daylight savings hadn’t ended, it was easy to ignore. Especially for someone like me. I don’t like the colder months at all. If summer stuck around all year, I would love it.

But it doesn’t, and last weekend daylight savings ended so I can no longer pretend this is an extension of summer.

I usually get the blues around this time every year, but this year I’m determined not to get swept up in the sadness of the winter months. Positive thinking can make a big difference. So can having sunny days even though it’s not super hot anymore. My hubby and daughter help too, because they know the blues can sneak up on me. Read more…
