As a confessed (proud!) “Book-A-Holic”, I realized at an early age that I was going to be a writer. I wrote my first full length book (300 pages!) at the age of 11, and was so disappointed when it wasn’t accepted! But that didnt stop me; I kept writing. Now, I’m proud to say that I have a Paranormal Romance contracted with Samhain, due out in May 2008. “TEMPTATION UNLEASHED” has a shapeshifter for a hero and a witch for a heroine. It was so fun writing that I discovered my ‘nitch’ in the Romance genre is definitely Paranormal. I’m working on the next one right now.
I was born & raised in Florida, but now live in Arizona. As well as having too many books (okay, the last count was 1200!) in my home, I also have a very spoiled poodle, Sweet Pea (who thinks she is Queen and her toys should naturally outnumber my book count!), and I’m also the caregiver for my dad.
I am a member of RWA, and also of my local chapter, NARWA (Northern Arizona RWA). I was their Newsletter Editor for many years, and am now enjoying my time off from the Board to write full time. I have an author website at: www.authorkari.com but its going to be revamped soon, so it’s sure to look different when you next look!
I am blessed with a very active imagination (much to some people’s dismay, I’m sure!) so I can see myself writing books for years to come. So, I say: bring on the ‘ghoulies and ghosties, and long-legged beasties, and things that go bumb in the night’!
