Writing ‘The End’ is never easy, but that applies even more so when it’s the end of a series. Not only are you saying goodbye to the people you’ve grown to love, you’re saying goodbye to the entire world you’ve lived in for so long.
I just finished the final book in my fantasy series, Secrets of Socendor. Kalen and Micheil, even Jéan and Braen, are off to enjoy their happily-ever-afters, and their world, Socendor, is safe once again.
But Socendor is an insular country, believe it or not. It’s a single continent in a vast world. I’ve mentioned this fact a few times in the final book—Retribution. I even contemplated writing other books set on other continents in this world. I don’t know if I will do so anytime soon, but should I go through with more books, they will be separate from the Socendor stories.
